Shadow mask is a performing techniques inspired by traditional Indonesian shadow pupperty and developed by Larry Reed of Shadowlight Productions. This workshop will focus on the formation of a character that will be created into a foamcore shadow mask ( you need not be a visual artist to participate). Once the masks are created, participants will explore movement and devise a narrative for a short shadow piece to be performed in a final showcase. Participants may choose any theme for their piece and may untilize music, monologue, dance, or scene work.
