One Audition Piece

Come explore the techniques of performing the Shakespeare monologue in the Green Room of The Players at The Barker Playhouse on Saturdays beginning in February. Examine the mechanics, breathing, vocabulary, and form necessary to clearly perform a monologue from Shakespeare’s text — the class is suited for actors at all levels of experience.

Instructed by actor, director, and theater educator Christin L. Goff.

Please have at least twelve lines memorized *before* the first class. Preferably something not previously known !

About Christin

Christin L Goff is an actor, educator, and teaching artist from Rhode Island who has performed, directed, and studied in Providence, Boston, Hartford, New York, and Chicago. She has worked locally with TRIST, 2nd Story Theatre, Burbage Theatre Company, Academy Players, and Scorpio Productions. She is currently  pursuing certification with the Royal Shakespeare Company for their three-part teaching course, to be fully completed in November, 2019. She is a proud new member of The Players at the Barker Playhouse and grateful for the opportunity to offer these workshops.
